Apostle Dr. Deborah Dancy, daughter of Mother Sadie Dancy, attended Birmingham City Schools. She graduated in the top ten percent of her high school graduating class. After graduating from high school, Dr. Dancy attended Lawson State, Birmingham Southern, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Trinity Theologicial Seminary, and Hill College earning an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and Social Psychology, with a minor in Social Work. Dr. Dancy graduated with honors, earning a master's degree in biblical counseling and a doctoral degree in December 2010.
Dr. Dancy was employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs in Birmingham, Alabama for over 32 (thirty-two) years in various roles until her retirement. In April of 2004, Dr. Dancy was nominated and selected as "Woman of the Year" by the Birmingham VA during its annual program spotlighting a deserving male and female for their services rendered to the Department of VA and the community.
On March 14th, 2008, Deborah Glenn Ministries, currently known as Deborah Dancy Ministries, was established. One of the entities of Deborah Dancy Ministries (DDM) is Loosed to H-E-A-R (Healed & Delivered, Empowered, Anchored, and Restored) Ministries Inc., a 501 (c) (3) organization focusing on Youthful offenders and at-risk youth.
Dr. Dancy was licensed as a Minister and ordained as an Elder at Cornerstone Full Gospel Baptist Church by the late Bishop Earnest Palmer. While a member of Cornerstone, she taught Sunday School and served as Evangelism Instructor. As a certified Prison Fellowship Instructor, Dr. Dancy facilitated weekly Bible Studies at the Tuscaloosa Youth Detention Center & Ross Detention in Birmingham under the auspices of Prison Fellowship Ministries and Cornerstone Evangelism Ministry
On June 20th, 2009, Dr. Dancy Founded Jehovah Shalom International Kingdom Ministries in Bessemer, Alabama, and had their first service in their current location. In October 2011, Dr. Dancy was affirmed as an Apostle in Stockholm, Sweden by Apostle Alex Ngabo.
Apostle Dr. Deborah Dancy continues to serve as the Senior Pastor of Jehovah Shalom International Kingdom Ministries. Since 2009, the ministry continues to grow and provide opportunities for many to grow and develop their gifts through the JSIKM School of Ministry, where students can be licensed and ordained into their five-fold ministry office; JSIKM theological seminary, an accredited institution where students can receive their associates up to their doctoral degree; Loosed to Hear Private Academy & the Sadie Dancy International Academy School in Sierra Leone, West Africa. As of 2025, Jehovah Shalom has three locations with two in Alabama (Bessemer & Childersburg) and one in Freetown Sierra Leone, West Africa.
Apostle Dancy has licensed many ministers and ordained, confirmed, and affirmed many into their five-fold ministry office. She continues to mentor, equip, and empower the body of Christ to do the work of ministry. Apostle Dancy has been pastoring for over 20 years and flows in the prophetic, with evidence of healing and deliverance. Apostle Dancy’s passion is to see people free and walking in the power and authority of their creator for the glory of his kingdom.
